Unfortunately, I didn't end up liking this because it predates the widescreen support. The in-mission saves may be incompatible, but the campaign progress should work.

Back it up first, then move the contents of that folder into a folder called "Save" in the Warcraft III install directory, and they should appear in the game. Go to the folder "%USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\Warcraft III". Note: If you had previously played 1.28 and above, your saved games will not be found because they were moved in that version.

In the game, don't click the button (which will update it to Reforged).I renamed "Warcraft III" to "W3R", "Warcraft III Classic" to "Warcraft III", running the patcher, then renaming everything back again.)
(For example, I had Reforged in "Warcraft III" and classic in "Warcraft III Classic". I don't know why, but I fixed it by temporarily renaming the classic directory to the reforged one. When I ran the patcher, it failed because it was looking in the Reforged directory. I'm sure the older patches can be found online, legally for free. You can get the 1.27b patch direct from Blizzard or mirrored from PC Gaming Wiki. Patch it up to the desired version (up to 1.27b).You can simply install them into a different folder and they will work. These installers ignore Reforged (for example, the CD installers think the game is not installed if you have Reforged installed). Run the installer from the download or the CD.This may stop working at some point! Thanks u/beforan and u/Eldr1ch. You will still need a CD key or to have previously purchased the game digitally. You can apparently still access the old standalone installer for 1.27 from the Blizzard website if you know the URL (I haven't tried it).

exe installers that you could download from the Blizzard website, if you legally owned the game, to install the game without connecting to a server. Also each of these, from a certain point onwards (1.21b?) had stand-alone. exes that can patch the game without connecting to a server. All of these versions have freely available patch.
#WARCRAFT 3 CD KEY CHANGER HOW TO#
How to do it depends on which version you want. It tells you how to run things if you own the original retail CDs or have previously downloaded versions from Blizzard. So I've been playing around with how to run pre-Reforged versions of the game, for posterity, whilst still having Reforged installed. I'm having fun with it, but I do acknowledge that a tonne of things have been removed, and more things aren't working yet. First of all, I am not on the Reforged hate wagon.
